Responsibilities
- Design and implement ethical AI governance frameworks aligned with 2026 technological capabilities
- Lead cross-functional working groups on algorithmic bias mitigation and fairness protocols
- Develop real-time monitoring systems for emerging AI risks (autonomous systems, synthetic media)
- Advocate for ethical standards in quantum AI and neuromorphic computing research
- Author position papers for UN AI Ethics Council and OECD technology forums
- Mentor junior researchers in applied ethics and responsible innovation methodologies
- Partner with legal teams to preempt regulatory challenges in emerging AI domains
Qualifications
- PhD in Ethics, Philosophy of Technology, or Cognitive Science with 5+ years AI governance experience
- Published research on algorithmic fairness or AI alignment problems
- Deep expertise in EU AI Act, NIST AI RMF, and global ethics frameworks
- Technical proficiency in AI model auditing tools (e.g., IBM Fairness 360, Google What-If Tool)
- Experience testifying before legislative bodies or regulatory committees
- Portfolio demonstrating complex ethical system design for autonomous technologies
- Fluency in at least one programming language (Python preferred) for technical validation
