Responsibilities
- Develop 5-year innovation roadmaps for emerging technologies (quantum AI, synthetic biology, climate tech)
- Lead interdisciplinary R&D teams in prototyping next-gen solutions
- Identify and secure strategic partnerships with research institutions and startups
- Analyze regulatory landscapes and ethical implications of breakthrough technologies
- Present innovation strategies to C-suite and board stakeholders
- Build and manage a $10M+ innovation portfolio
- Drive patent development and intellectual property strategy
- Monitor global tech trends and competitive disruption signals
Qualifications
- 15+ years in tech innovation, strategy, or R&D leadership
- PhD or equivalent in Computer Science, Bioengineering, or Futures Studies
- Proven track record of commercializing emerging technologies
- Deep expertise in at least two of: quantum computing, synthetic biology, advanced materials, or climate tech
- Experience with regulatory frameworks for emerging tech (FDA, FCC, EPA)
- Exceptional strategic communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences
- Portfolio of successfully launched innovative products or services
- Certification in Futures Thinking or Technology Foresight preferred
