- Establish partnerships with MIT Media Lab, Singularity University, and other future-focused institutions
- Author quarterly 'Horizon Reports' predicting disruptive market shifts and emerging risks
- Mentor a team of futurist analysts and prototype developers
- Secure $5M+ annual R&D funding through visionary proposals to venture capital consortiums
Qualifications
- 10+ years in strategic innovation, R&D leadership, or futurist consulting
- Published thought leadership in Harvard Business Review or Future Studies Journal
- Expertise in exponential technologies (quantum, nanotech, synthetic biology)
- Proven track record of commercializing future-forward concepts
- Advanced degree in Systems Thinking, Futures Studies, or equivalent interdisciplinary field
- Fluency in scenario planning frameworks (e.g., Delphi method, causal layered analysis)
- Portfolio demonstrating at least three 5-year-ahead predictions that materialized
