Responsibilities
- Conduct horizon-scanning research to identify disruptive technologies, socio-economic shifts, and paradigm-breaking innovations through 2026
- Develop and publish strategic foresight frameworks and scenario-planning models for executive decision-making
- Lead cross-functional workshops to embed future-thinking into product development and corporate strategy
- Build and maintain an ecosystem of futurists, academics, and industry disruptors as part of our Global Futures Network
- Translate foresight insights into commercial opportunities, driving $10M+ strategic initiatives
- Represent Nexus Horizons at global forums (e.g., World Economic Future Summits, Techonomy 2026)
- Mentor emerging futurists and establish thought leadership through whitepapers and keynotes
Qualifications
- Minimum 8 years in strategic foresight, innovation consulting, or C-suite strategy roles
- Proven track record of successfully predicting market shifts (portfolio required)
- Deep expertise in at least three of: AI ethics, biotech convergence, climate tech, quantum computing, or neuro-interfaces
- Advanced degree in Futures Studies, Systems Thinking, or related field (PhD preferred)
- Certification in strategic foresight methodologies (e.g., WFS, SFI, or equivalent)
- Exceptional storytelling abilities to communicate complex futures to diverse stakeholders
- Published thought leader with 50+ citations in futurist or business strategy publications
- Fluency in at least two global languages beyond English
