Responsibilities
- Lead horizon scanning and trend analysis for 2026+ technologies (quantum, biotech, AI ethics, climate tech)
- Develop strategic foresight frameworks to inform 10-year R&D roadmaps and capital allocation
- Partner with product teams to embed future-proofing into innovation pipelines
- Deliver executive briefings on disruptive market shifts and competitive threats
- Design and facilitate cross-functional workshops to align stakeholders on future scenarios
- Author thought leadership content (whitepapers, keynotes) positioning Horizon as a futurist authority
- Manage a $2M annual innovation grant portfolio for experimental ventures
Qualifications
- 10+ years in strategic foresight, innovation consulting, or emerging technology leadership
- Proven track record translating futuristic trends into commercial strategies
- Expertise in scenario planning and systemic analysis methodologies
- Deep knowledge of 2026 tech landscape (quantum computing, AGI, synthetic biology)
- Exceptional storytelling skills with executive-level presentation experience
- Advanced degree in Futures Studies, Systems Theory, or relevant technical field
