Responsibilities
- Develop 5-year innovation roadmaps for emerging technologies (quantum AI, neural interfaces, synthetic biology)
- Lead cross-disciplinary research initiatives with MIT and Stanford partnerships
- Translate theoretical breakthroughs into patentable commercial applications
- Present strategic visions to C-suite and board of directors
- Identify and nurture talent in next-gen tech specializations
- Secure $5M+ annual research grants from DARPA and NSF
- Author industry-defining whitepapers on 2026 technology trends
Qualifications
- PhD in Computational Physics, AI Ethics, or Futurist Studies
- 10+ years in R&D leadership at FAANG or equivalent
- Published research in Nature/Science on exponential technologies
- Proficiency in quantum programming (Qiskit, Cirq)
- Deep understanding of AGI safety frameworks
- Track record of commercializing futuristic concepts
- Keynote speaker at TED, Web Summit, or Davos
- Fluency in Mandarin and Spanish for global partnerships
