Responsibilities
- Develop and execute the 2026 technology innovation roadmap aligned with long-term business objectives
- Lead horizon scanning for emerging technologies (quantum, AI, synthetic biology, advanced materials)
- Architect strategic partnerships with academic institutions and R&D pioneers
- Translate complex technical concepts into executable business strategies for executive stakeholders
- Manage $5M+ innovation portfolio and resource allocation across pilot projects
- Present future scenarios and strategic recommendations to the board of directors
- Mentor cross-functional teams on innovation methodologies and future-proofing principles
Qualifications
- 10+ years in strategic innovation, R&D management, or technology foresight roles
- Advanced degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related quantitative field
- Proven track record of launching market-disrupting technologies or products
- Deep expertise in at least two emerging technology domains (quantum, AI, biotech, etc.)
- Experience developing multi-year technology roadmaps with measurable ROI
- Exceptional executive communication and stakeholder management skills
- Certification in Futures Thinking, Strategic Foresight, or Innovation Management preferred
- Portfolio demonstrating successful innovation initiatives valued at $10M+
