Responsibilities
- Architect and execute quantum AI research roadmap targeting 2026 technological milestones
- Lead cross-functional teams of quantum physicists, ML engineers, and domain specialists
- Develop novel quantum machine learning algorithms for optimization and simulation
- Secure and manage $5M+ in research grants from NSF and DARPA
- Publish breakthrough findings in Nature/Science and keynote at IEEE Quantum Week
- Translate theoretical advances into patentable quantum AI applications
- Mentor postdoctoral researchers in quantum computational theory
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, or Computer Science with 5+ years research
- Published 10+ papers in top-tier quantum/AI journals (Nature, PRL, etc.)
- Expertise in quantum machine learning frameworks (Qiskit, Cirq, PennyLane)
- Proven track record of securing federal research funding
- Deep understanding of quantum error correction and fault tolerance
- Experience with quantum hardware (IBM Q, Rigetti, D-Wave)
- Exceptional ability to communicate complex quantum concepts to diverse stakeholders
