Responsibilities
- Analyze emerging technologies, geopolitical shifts, and socioeconomic trends to forecast industry landscapes through 2026
- Develop and maintain a comprehensive '2026 Horizon Scan' database with quantitative and qualitative insights
- Lead scenario-planning workshops for executive leadership on future business models and market disruptions
- Collaborate with R&D teams to identify and prioritize breakthrough innovations aligned with 2026 strategic goals
- Present future-state narratives to investors, board members, and external partners through compelling visualizations
- Establish KPI frameworks to track progress toward 2026 milestones and adjust strategies dynamically
- Mentor junior futurists and cultivate a forward-thinking culture across the organization
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Futures Studies, Strategic Foresight, Technology Management, or related field (PhD preferred)
- Minimum 8 years of experience in strategic planning, innovation consulting, or futurist research
- Proven track record of developing and implementing multi-year strategic roadmaps
- Expertise in scenario planning, trend analysis, and horizon scanning methodologies
- Deep understanding of exponential technologies (AI, quantum computing, biotech) and their societal impacts
- Exceptional presentation skills with experience addressing C-level executives and external stakeholders
- Portfolio demonstrating published foresight work or successful strategic initiatives
- Ability to synthesize complex data into actionable insights while operating in ambiguity
