Responsibilities
- Lead horizon scanning and trend analysis to identify emerging technologies, societal shifts, and market disruptions through 2026
- Develop and maintain strategic foresight frameworks including scenario planning, system dynamics modeling, and impact assessments
- Produce high-impact deliverables: future state roadmaps, innovation portfolios, and executive briefings
- Chair quarterly 'Future Forums' with external thought leaders, academics, and industry disruptors
- Integrate foresight outputs into corporate strategy, R&D pipelines, and product development lifecycles
- Establish and govern ethical guardrails for emerging technologies including AI, neurotech, and synthetic biology
- Mentor junior futurists and build organizational foresight capabilities through training programs
Qualifications
- 10+ years in strategic foresight, innovation consulting, or future-focused R&D with Fortune 500 or scaling tech
- Advanced degree in Futures Studies, Systems Thinking, Technology Forecasting, or related field
- Proven track record of translating future scenarios into commercial opportunities and strategic initiatives
- Deep expertise in at least two future domains: AI/ML, quantum computing, climate tech, or biotechnology
- Exceptional storytelling abilities with executive presentations published in top-tier journals or platforms
- Fluency in futures methodologies: Delphi, STEEP-V, causal layered analysis, and backcasting
- Portfolio demonstrating 3+ successful future-shaping initiatives with measurable impact
- Global network of futurists, technologists, and policy influencers
