Responsibilities
- Analyze emerging technology trends (quantum computing, AI ethics, biotech convergence) and develop strategic implementation roadmaps for 2026
- Lead cross-functional innovation sprints to prototype next-gen solutions with engineering and product teams
- Establish strategic partnerships with academic institutions and research labs to access cutting-edge developments
- Create technology foresight reports and scenario-planning frameworks for executive decision-making
- Develop patent strategies and IP protection protocols for breakthrough innovations
- Mentor junior strategists and build a future-focused innovation culture
- Present quarterly technology roadmaps to the board of directors and investors
Qualifications
- 15+ years in technology strategy, innovation management, or R&D leadership
- Proven track record of commercializing emerging technologies (AI, blockchain, AR/VR)
- Advanced degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or Strategic Innovation (PhD preferred)
- Deep expertise in technology forecasting methodologies and scenario planning
- Executive presence with experience presenting to C-suite and boards
- Published thought leadership in tech futurism or innovation strategy
- Experience managing $10M+ innovation portfolios and cross-functional teams
- Certifications in innovation management (e.g., PDMA, CIMP) or relevant advanced degrees
