Responsibilities
- Develop 5-year technology roadmaps mapping innovations to market opportunities
- Lead cross-functional teams in prototyping solutions for 2026-era challenges
- Conduct horizon-scanning research on quantum computing, biotech convergence, and AI governance
- Present strategic briefings to investors and board members on emerging tech risks/rewards
- Establish KPI frameworks for measuring technology adoption readiness
- Forge partnerships with academic institutions and research labs
- Author thought leadership publications on technological singularity implications
Qualifications
- 10+ years in technology strategy or R&D leadership
- Proven track record of forecasting tech trends (include 2+ accurate predictions)
- Expertise in at least two emerging domains: quantum computing, neuromorphic chips, or generative AI
- Experience with scenario planning methodologies and technology impact assessments
- Advanced degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or Futurism
- Published research in IEEE or Nature Futures journal preferred
- Strong network within DARPA, NSF, or similar innovation ecosystems
- Fluency in technology ethics frameworks (IEEE 7000, ACM Code of Ethics)
