Responsibilities
- Analyze global tech trends, patent landscapes, and academic research to identify breakthrough opportunities for 2026+ markets
- Develop strategic roadmaps integrating AI ethics, quantum computing applications, and carbon-neutral tech ecosystems
- Lead cross-functional workshops with C-suite executives and R&D teams to align innovation priorities with business objectives
- Author whitepapers and thought leadership content positioning Horizon Dynamics as the authority on future technologies
- Manage a $5M innovation fund, evaluating and investing in pre-seed startups with 2026-relevant IP
- Represent the company at Davos, CES, and IEEE summits to shape industry-wide future-tech standards
Qualifications
- 10+ years in tech strategy, innovation management, or emerging tech R&D with Fortune 500 or unicorn-scale experience
- Proven track record of commercializing futuristic technologies (e.g., quantum algorithms, neuromorphic computing)
- Advanced degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Futures Studies, or equivalent field with PhD preferred
- Deep expertise in at least three of: AI ethics frameworks, quantum computing architectures, sustainable tech policy, or neurotech convergence
- Published author or keynote speaker at global tech conferences (e.g., Web Summit, Slush, TechCrunch Disrupt)
- Proficiency in futures research methodologies (e.g., Delphi studies, horizon scanning) and scenario planning tools
