- Partner with C-suite executives to align innovation with business objectives
- Conduct horizon scanning for emerging technologies with disruptive potential
- Mentor junior futurists and establish thought leadership in tech forecasting
- Secure $5M+ annual R&D budget through compelling stakeholder presentations
- Author quarterly industry reports on future tech trends and risks
Qualifications
- 10+ years in strategic technology planning or R&D leadership
- Advanced degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or Futures Studies
- Published research in peer-reviewed tech journals (IEEE, ACM preferred)
- Proven track record of launching breakthrough products with $100M+ impact
- Expertise in systems thinking and scenario planning methodologies
- Certification in Foresight or Technology Assessment (FTA/ETP)
- Deep knowledge of exponential technologies (blockchain, AGI, nanotech)
- Experience scaling innovation teams in fast-paced environments
