Responsibilities
- Define Strategic Frameworks: Establish and maintain a comprehensive AI Ethics Framework that guides our product development and deployment.
- Regulatory Leadership: Monitor global regulatory trends (e.g., EU AI Act, US Executive Orders) and advise executive leadership on compliance strategies.
- Risk Management: Lead impact assessments for new AI models, data pipelines, and third-party integrations to mitigate bias and risk.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with Engineering, Product, and Legal teams to embed ethical guardrails into the development lifecycle.
- Internal Advocacy: Develop training programs and internal guidelines on AI safety, bias mitigation, and responsible use of technology.
- Thought Leadership: Represent the company in industry forums, policy discussions, and academic partnerships to shape the future of AI governance.
Qualifications
- Experience: 10+ years of experience in AI policy, law, or a related technical field, with at least 3 years in a leadership capacity.
- Tech Proficiency: Deep understanding of Machine Learning, NLP, and Generative AI technologies and their potential societal impacts.
- Strategic Vision: Proven ability to translate complex legal and technical concepts into actionable business strategy.
- Communication: Exceptional ability to communicate complex ideas to diverse audiences, including technical teams and non-technical stakeholders.
- Ethical Reasoning: Strong ethical reasoning skills with a focus on fairness, accountability, and transparency.
- Education: Relevant advanced degree (JD, LLM, or PhD) is preferred.
