Responsibilities
- Support Data Collection: Gather, clean, and validate data from various sources to ensure accuracy for reporting purposes.
- Dashboard Creation: Utilize tools like Tableau or Power BI to create interactive visualizations that tell compelling data stories.
- Statistical Analysis: Perform exploratory data analysis (EDA) to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies within datasets.
- Collaboration: Work cross-functionally with marketing and finance teams to translate complex data into actionable business insights.
- Report Generation: Assist in the preparation of weekly and monthly performance reports for stakeholders.
- Documentation: Maintain detailed documentation of data pipelines and analysis methodologies.
Qualifications
- Education: Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree program in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related field. Must be eligible for college credit.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in SQL (Querying), Python or R (Coding), and Excel (Advanced functions).
- Visualization: Basic to intermediate experience with BI tools (Tableau, Power BI, or Looker).
- Academic Performance: A minimum GPA of 3.0 is preferred.
- Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to explain complex data to non-technical audiences.
- Location: Must be based in or willing to commute to Detroit, MI.
