Responsibilities
- Develop predictive models using Python/R to analyze policy impact datasets
- Create interactive data visualizations for stakeholder presentations
- Clean and preprocess large-scale government/public policy datasets
- Collaborate on A/B testing frameworks for policy interventions
- Document methodologies and prepare executive summaries
- Participate in weekly data science workshops with industry experts
Qualifications
- Currently pursuing Bachelor's or Master's in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Public Policy, or related field
- Proficiency in Python (Pandas, NumPy) or R
- Experience with SQL and data visualization tools (Tableau/Power BI)
- Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities
- Interest in applying data to policy/government applications
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Available for 20-40 hours/week during Summer/Fall 2023
