Responsibilities
- Define and execute the comprehensive technology roadmap for the 2026 World Cup infrastructure.
- Oversee the deployment of scalable cloud architectures to handle massive traffic spikes during the event.
- Manage cross-functional teams, including software engineers, data scientists, and third-party vendors.
- Ensure cybersecurity protocols are robust enough to protect sensitive fan and athlete data.
- Collaborate with stadium operations to integrate IoT and smart venue solutions.
- Present technical progress and risk assessments to executive stakeholders on a weekly basis.
Qualifications
- 10+ years of experience in IT project management, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
- Proven experience managing large-scale technology projects or infrastructure for major events.
- Strong expertise in cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud) and microservices architecture.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate technical jargon for non-technical stakeholders.
- PMP or Prince2 certification is highly preferred.
- Willingness to travel to various stadium sites across the United States as needed.
