Responsibilities
- Provide Tier 1 technical support for employees via ticketing system and live chat
- Install, configure, and troubleshoot hardware/software including Windows OS and Microsoft 365
- Assist with network monitoring using tools like SolarWinds and Wireshark
- Document processes in knowledge base and create user documentation
- Participate in cybersecurity awareness campaigns and basic vulnerability assessments
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on IT projects
- Shadow senior engineers on system migrations and upgrades
Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in Computer Science, IT, or related program
- Basic understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS)
- Familiarity with Windows operating systems and Microsoft Office
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and in team environments
- Valid driver's license (for occasional equipment pickups)
- Available 20-25 hours/week during summer/fall semester
