Responsibilities
- Assist with Month-End Close: Support the accounting team in preparing trial balances, adjusting entries, and reconciling general ledger accounts.
- Financial Reporting: Help compile and analyze financial data to generate accurate reports for management and stakeholders.
- Account Reconciliation: Perform daily and monthly reconciliations of bank statements and credit card accounts.
- Document Preparation: Assist in the preparation of audit schedules, tax documentation, and other regulatory filings.
- Market Research: Conduct research on industry trends and competitor analysis to support strategic planning.
- Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to streamline financial processes and enhance data accuracy.
Qualifications
- Education: Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s degree program in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field (rising junior or senior preferred).
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP). Familiarity with accounting software (e.g., SAP, QuickBooks) is a plus.
- Analytical Mindset: Strong ability to analyze complex data sets and identify trends or discrepancies.
- Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy when handling sensitive financial information.
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present findings clearly.
- Availability: Ability to commit to a minimum of 15-20 hours per week for the duration of the internship.
