Responsibilities
- Assist in creating financial literacy materials for local youth workshops
- Analyze mock investment portfolios using Excel and financial software
- Support budget tracking and expense reporting for community programs
- Research Detroit-based financial markets and economic trends
- Participate in weekly financial simulations and case studies
- Organize and present financial concepts to peer groups
- Shadow finance professionals during client meetings
Qualifications
- Current high school junior/senior or recent graduate in Detroit area
- Strong math skills (Algebra II or higher preferred)
- Basic proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Google Workspace
- Interest in finance, economics, or business administration
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
- Availability for 20 hours/week during summer (June-August)
- Valid authorization to work in the United States
- Must provide own transportation to downtown Detroit location
