As a Finance Intern, you will play a crucial role in our daily operations, supporting the finance department with data analysis, reporting, and strategic planning. This role is perfect for students looking to bridge the gap between academic theory and practical application.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the preparation of monthly financial reports and variance analysis to ensure accuracy and compliance with GAAP standards.
- Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify trends and opportunities for business growth.
- Maintain and update financial databases and spreadsheets utilizing advanced Excel functions and financial modeling techniques.
- Support the budgeting process by collecting data from various departments and assisting in the creation of annual operating budgets.
- Prepare audit schedules and documentation to facilitate internal and external audits efficiently.
- Analyze cash flow statements and assist in liquidity management strategies.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide financial insights and support strategic initiatives.
Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree program in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or Business Administration.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data and create clear, concise presentations.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel (PivotTables, VLOOKUP, Macros) and PowerPoint.
- Basic understanding of financial principles, including financial reporting, budgeting, and cost accounting.
- Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy in data entry and processing.
- Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) to effectively interact with stakeholders at all levels.
- Availability to work part-time during the academic semester with potential for full-time extension during breaks.
