Responsibilities
- Assist in Financial Reporting: Support the accounting team in preparing monthly and quarterly financial statements and variance analyses.
- Market Research: Conduct in-depth research on market trends, competitors, and investment opportunities to aid in decision-making processes.
- Data Analysis: Utilize advanced Excel techniques to analyze large datasets and create compelling visualizations for stakeholders.
- Assist with Budgeting: Help prepare and maintain budget schedules and assist in the annual budgeting process.
- Compliance Support: Ensure all financial documentation adheres to regulatory standards and internal controls.
- Client Support: Provide administrative support to relationship managers during client meetings and prepare meeting materials.
- Process Improvement: Identify areas for operational efficiency and suggest process improvements to the finance department.
Qualifications
- Education: Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree program in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
- GPA Requirement: Minimum GPA of 3.0 or higher preferred.
- Technical Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, Macros).
- Analytical Mindset: Strong ability to interpret complex financial data and generate actionable insights.
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present findings to a diverse audience.
- Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy when handling sensitive financial information.
- Availability: Ability to work 20-25 hours per week, including some evenings or weekends as needed.
