Responsibilities
- Assist the finance team with data entry, verification, and reconciliation of financial documents.
- Support the preparation of weekly and monthly financial reports, ensuring accuracy and timely submission.
- Conduct research on market trends, industry benchmarks, and competitor financial performance.
- Organize and maintain digital and physical financial records and filing systems.
- Assist in the preparation of basic budget forecasts and expense tracking spreadsheets.
- Shadow senior staff to understand financial modeling and auditing processes.
- Communicate findings to team members and assist in ad-hoc project-based financial analysis.
Qualifications
- No prior professional experience required – we focus on potential and enthusiasm.
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
- Strong interest in the financial markets, banking, or investment sectors.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced team environment.
- Must be available to work 15-20 hours per week, including some flexibility for end-of-month close.
