Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security alerts using SIEM platforms (Splunk, QRadar)
- Assess vulnerabilities and assist in patch management cycles
- Document security incidents and contribute to incident response reports
- Participate in penetration testing exercises under supervision
- Develop automated scripts for security monitoring tasks
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on security initiatives
- Complete weekly progress reports and academic deliverables
Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in an accredited college/university program
- Majoring in Cybersecurity, IT, Computer Science, or related field
- Basic knowledge of network protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP)
- Familiarity with Linux/Windows command-line environments
- Ability to work 40 hours/week (full-time commitment required)
- Strong written communication skills for technical documentation
- Must arrange for college credit through your institution
