- Identify emerging tech vectors through global trend analysis and patent mining
- Build strategic partnerships with academic institutions and government innovation programs
- Develop patent portfolios for breakthrough technologies with 7+ year commercialization horizons
- Present future scenarios to C-suite and board members for $500M+ investment decisions
Qualifications
- 10+ years in strategic innovation or R&D leadership with Fortune 500/Unicorn experience
- Proven track record commercializing future-focused technologies (quantum/AI/biotech)
- Advanced degree in Futures Studies, Systems Engineering, or equivalent field
- Published research in emerging technology forecasting or disruptive innovation
- Deep expertise in regulatory frameworks for emerging markets (2026-2030 horizon)
- Portfolio demonstrating minimum 3 paradigm-shifting product launches
- Certification in Foresight Methodologies (e.g., Horizon Scanning, Delphi Studies)
