Responsibilities
- Lead horizon scanning to identify disruptive technologies (quantum computing, synthetic biology, neuromorphic AI) with 2026 commercialization potential
- Develop strategic technology roadmaps aligned with regulatory frameworks and ethical AI principles
- Facilitate cross-functional innovation sprints with engineering, design, and policy teams
- Quantify market opportunities and risks for emerging tech applications through scenario modeling
- Build partnerships with academic institutions and federal innovation labs
- Present strategic recommendations to C-suite and board stakeholders
- Mentor junior futurists and cultivate an experimental culture
Qualifications
- Advanced degree in Technology Policy, Systems Engineering, or Innovation Management
- 8+ years experience in emerging technology strategy or R&D leadership
- Deep expertise in at least two future tech domains (quantum, AI ethics, AR/VR, climate tech)
- Proven track record of launching technology pilots with measurable ROI
- Exceptional systems thinking and scenario planning capabilities
- Published thought leadership in technology foresight publications
- Security clearance eligibility (government collaboration required)
