Responsibilities
- Architect and execute the 2026 technology innovation roadmap with quarterly milestone reviews
- Lead R&D initiatives in quantum computing, synthetic biology, and autonomous systems
- Collaborate with MIT and Stanford research labs on bleeding-edge prototypes
- Manage $5M+ innovation budget with ROI-focused resource allocation
- Present strategic vision to C-suite and board members with data-driven frameworks
- Mentor 15+ engineers and researchers through structured innovation sprints
- Conduct horizon scanning for emerging technologies with competitive analysis
- Develop patent portfolios for breakthrough innovations with legal team
Qualifications
- PhD in Computer Science, Engineering, or Physics with 10+ years R&D leadership
- Published research in Nature/Science journals or equivalent industry impact
- Proven track record of launching commercialized technologies with $100M+ revenue
- Expertise in at least two of: quantum algorithms, synthetic biology, or neuromorphic computing
- Executive-level stakeholder management across global operations
- Fluency in Python, TensorFlow, and quantum programming languages
