Responsibilities
- Develop and execute 5-year technology roadmaps aligned with market trends and business objectives
- Identify and evaluate emerging technologies (quantum, AI, biotech, sustainable energy) for commercial viability
- Lead cross-functional innovation sprints with R&D, product, and engineering teams
- Establish strategic partnerships with academic institutions and tech pioneers
- Present technology forecasts and recommendations to C-suite and board stakeholders
- Drive patent development and intellectual property strategy for emerging innovations
- Monitor global tech policy and regulatory shifts affecting future deployments
Qualifications
- 10+ years in technology strategy, R&D leadership, or emerging tech consulting
- Proven track record of launching at least two breakthrough technologies
- Deep expertise in at least three future-tech domains (quantum/AI/biotech/climate tech)
- Advanced degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field
- Exceptional analytical and scenario-planning capabilities
- Experience securing $10M+ in innovation funding or grants
- Strong network with global tech research institutions and startups
- Certification in Technology Foresight or Innovation Management preferred
