Responsibilities
- Lead strategic foresight initiatives to identify and analyze emerging technologies with transformative potential by 2026
- Develop comprehensive innovation roadmaps aligned with business objectives and market disruption forecasts
- Collaborate with R&D teams to prototype and validate next-gen solutions in our Austin Innovation Lab
- Present technology strategies and investment recommendations to executive leadership and board members
- Establish partnerships with academic institutions and tech startups to accelerate adoption of breakthrough technologies
- Monitor global tech trends and competitive landscapes to maintain first-mover advantage
- Build and lead a cross-functional team of technology futurists and implementation specialists
Qualifications
- 10+ years in technology strategy, innovation management, or R&D leadership
- Proven track record of developing and executing technology roadmaps with measurable business impact
- Deep expertise in at least three emerging tech domains (quantum computing, AI ethics, biotech convergence, etc.)
- Experience with scenario planning and technology forecasting methodologies
- Strong analytical skills with ability to translate complex technical concepts into strategic business opportunities
- Executive presence with demonstrated success influencing C-level decision-making
- Advanced degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or related field required
- Published thought leadership in technology innovation or future trends preferred
