Responsibilities
- Lead technology horizon scanning for 2026+ innovations across AI, quantum computing, and biotech
- Develop and maintain a 5-year strategic technology roadmap with measurable KPIs
- Present technology forecasts and risk assessments to executive stakeholders quarterly
- Drive partnerships with academic institutions and startups for early-stage technology adoption
- Oversee technology incubation programs with dedicated R&D budgets
- Mentor senior engineers on future-proof architecture principles
Qualifications
- 10+ years in technology strategy or R&D leadership at Fortune 500 companies
- Proven track record of launching commercialized future-tech products (e.g., generative AI, autonomous systems)
- Advanced degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
- Published thought leadership in emerging technologies (IEEE, MIT Tech Review, etc.)
- Expertise in technology forecasting methodologies (Delphi, scenario planning)
- Strong financial modeling skills for technology investment analysis
- Active security clearance or willingness to obtain government clearance
