In this position, you'll collaborate with C-suite executives to align technology initiatives with business objectives, conduct horizon scanning for disruptive technologies, and create actionable frameworks for rapid adoption. You'll work in our state-of-the-art innovation hub in San Francisco, where your insights will directly impact product development and market strategy.
Responsibilities
- Lead horizon scanning and trend analysis for emerging technologies (AI, quantum computing, biotech, etc.)
- Develop comprehensive 3-5 year technology roadmaps aligned with business growth objectives
- Facilitate cross-functional workshops to identify innovation opportunities and prioritize R&D investments
- Build strategic partnerships with academic institutions and technology pioneers
- Present technology forecasts and recommendations to executive stakeholders
- Oversee pilot programs for emerging technologies with measurable ROI tracking
- Mentor junior innovation specialists and foster a culture of experimentation
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Technology Management, Engineering, or related field (PhD preferred)
- 8+ years in strategic technology planning or innovation leadership roles
- Proven experience developing and implementing future technology roadmaps
- Deep expertise in at least two emerging technology domains (e.g., generative AI, blockchain, AR/VR)
- Exceptional analytical skills with ability to synthesize complex technical information
- Strong presentation and stakeholder management capabilities
- Published thought leadership in technology futurism or innovation strategy
- Certification in emerging technologies or innovation management (e.g., CEIM, CTO) preferred
