Responsibilities
- Lead cross-functional teams in developing 2026-2030 technology roadmaps for AI, quantum computing, and biotech convergence
- Conduct horizon scanning to identify disruptive technologies with 3-5 year commercialization potential
- Translate technical capabilities into market-ready business cases with ROI projections
- Partner with VPs of R&D to allocate $50M+ innovation budget across strategic initiatives
- Present findings to C-suite and board members using data-driven visualizations
- Build and maintain ecosystem of academic, startup, and government partnerships
- Author thought leadership pieces published in MIT Tech Review and IEEE Spectrum
Qualifications
- PhD in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field with 8+ years experience
- Proven track record of commercializing emerging technologies (3+ successful launches)
- Expertise in at least two of: quantum algorithms, neuromorphic computing, synthetic biology
- Experience managing $10M+ R&D budgets and cross-continental teams
- Prior board advisory roles for Fortune 500 tech companies
- Published research in Nature or Science with >500 citations
- Proficiency in scenario planning frameworks and technology forecasting models
- Security clearance eligibility preferred
