Responsibilities
- Analyze emerging technologies (quantum computing, AI ethics, Web3.0) to develop 5-10 year strategic implementation plans
- Collaborate with C-suite executives to align technological initiatives with business objectives for 2026 market readiness
- Lead cross-functional teams in prototyping and validating next-gen solutions in our Austin Innovation Lab
- Develop competitive intelligence frameworks to position InnovateCorp as a 2026 technology leader
- Create executive briefings on technological disruption risks and opportunities
- Manage $2M+ R&D budgets for future technology incubation projects
- Mentor junior strategists in future-focused methodologies
Qualifications
- 10+ years in technology strategy or R&D leadership with proven 2020s innovation track record
- Expertise in at least two emerging tech domains (AI governance, quantum applications, decentralized systems)
- Experience with scenario planning for technological black swan events
- Advanced degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or Strategic Technology Management
- Published thought leadership in technology foresight (Harvard Business Review, MIT Tech Review, etc.)
- Strong network with global tech research institutions (MIT Media Lab, Singularity University, etc.)
- Certification in Technology Foresight or Strategic Innovation Management
- Demonstrated success in scaling from prototype to enterprise-level deployment
