Responsibilities
- Develop and implement a comprehensive technology strategy aligned with 2026 market projections and organizational goals
- Conduct horizon scanning to identify emerging technologies (quantum computing, AI ethics, biotech convergence) with disruptive potential
- Lead cross-functional innovation sprints to prototype and validate future-facing solutions
- Build strategic partnerships with academic institutions, startups, and industry pioneers
- Present technology roadmaps to executive stakeholders and board members with compelling data-driven narratives
- Establish governance frameworks for ethical AI adoption and sustainable tech implementation
- Mentor a high-performing team of futurists and technical architects
Qualifications
- Minimum 8 years in strategic technology planning with 5+ years in emerging tech roles
- Proven track record of launching successful future-focused initiatives
- Deep expertise in at least two of these domains: quantum computing, neural interfaces, decentralized systems, or synthetic biology
- Exceptional analytical skills with ability to synthesize complex technical and market data
- Certifications in strategic foresight (e.g., CFIP) or technology management preferred
- Experience with scenario planning methodologies and technology impact assessment frameworks
- Strong communication skills with ability to articulate complex concepts to diverse audiences
- Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field required
