Responsibilities
- Develop strategic roadmaps for next-gen technologies targeting 2026 adoption cycles
- Lead cross-functional R&D initiatives in quantum-AI convergence and neurotech interfaces
- Conduct horizon scanning to identify disruptive trends in computational biology and energy systems
- Collaborate with C-suite executives to align tech innovation with business objectives
- Secure $5M+ in R&D funding through grant writing and venture partnerships
- Mentor junior researchers in emerging tech methodologies and patent development
Qualifications
- PhD in Computer Science, Quantum Physics, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 5+ years in strategic technology planning with Fortune 500 or unicorn startups
- Published research in Nature/Science journals or comparable peer-reviewed publications
- Expertise in at least two of: quantum algorithms, neuromorphic computing, or synthetic biology
- Proven track record of securing federal grants (DARPA, NSF) or venture capital
- Fluency in Python, TensorFlow, and quantum programming languages (Q#, Qiskit)
