Responsibilities
- Develop and execute 3-5 year technology strategies aligned with 2026 market predictions and business objectives
- Lead cross-functional teams in prototyping and validating next-gen solutions (AI, quantum computing, biotech integration)
- Analyze global tech trends to identify disruptive opportunities and competitive threats
- Secure $2M+ annual R&D budget through compelling business cases and ROI projections
- Present strategic vision to C-suite and board members with data-driven recommendations
- Mentor innovation lab teams in agile development methodologies for future tech stacks
- Establish KPIs for tracking technology adoption and innovation impact across 15+ business units
Qualifications
- 10+ years in strategic technology planning with 5+ years in emerging tech domains
- Proven track record of launching products/services that shaped future markets
- Expertise in at least 3 of: AI/ML deployment, quantum computing applications, advanced automation, or sustainable tech
- MBA or MS in Technology Management, Engineering, or related field
- Published thought leadership in top-tier tech publications (IEEE, TechCrunch, etc.)
- Experience securing multi-million dollar innovation budgets and managing R&D pipelines
- Fluency in strategic foresight methodologies (e.g., horizon scanning, scenario planning)
- PMP or similar advanced certification preferred
