Responsibilities
- Lead comprehensive horizon-scanning initiatives to identify emerging technologies, societal shifts, and disruptive market forces through 2026+
- Develop and publish strategic foresight frameworks, scenario plans, and innovation roadmaps for executive decision-making
- Partner with R&D to translate future trends into product innovation pipelines and technology investment strategies
- Facilitate cross-functional workshops on future-proofing operations, talent models, and organizational design
- Establish key innovation metrics and KPIs to track progress toward future-state objectives
- Represent Nexus Horizon at global futurist conferences and thought leadership platforms
- Mentor internal 'Future Scouts' to embed foresight capabilities across departments
Qualifications
- 10+ years in strategic foresight, innovation consulting, or futurist roles with Fortune 500 companies
- Advanced degree in Futures Studies, Systems Thinking, Technology Forecasting, or related field
- Proven track record of translating future scenarios into commercial innovation and market disruption
- Deep expertise in emerging technologies: quantum computing, AI ethics, biotech convergence, or metaverse ecosystems
- Exceptional facilitation skills with C-suite executives and diverse stakeholder groups
- Published thought leadership on future trends (whitepapers, books, or industry journals)
- Certification in foresight methodologies (e.g., Shell Scenarios, Millenium Project)
- Portfolio demonstrating scenario planning outcomes with measurable business impact
