Responsibilities
- Develop and execute 2026 innovation roadmaps using horizon scanning, trend analysis, and scenario planning
- Lead cross-functional teams in prototyping exponential technologies (quantum computing, biotech fusion, AI consciousness)
- Establish strategic partnerships with MIT Media Lab, Singularity University, and national innovation ecosystems
- Translate foresight into actionable business models with $500K+ pilot budgets
- Present disruption scenarios to the board and secure executive buy-in for moonshot projects
- Mentor a 15-person innovation lab in speculative design and rapid prototyping methodologies
- Author industry-defining white papers on 2026 technology adoption curves
Qualifications
- 10+ years in innovation strategy, futures research, or emerging technology commercialization
- Proven track record of launching breakthrough products with $100M+ market impact
- Expertise in at least two exponential tech domains (quantum, synthetic biology, AGI, etc.)
- Published author or keynote speaker at global innovation forums (Web Summit, CES, etc.)
- MSc/PhD in Futures Studies, Systems Thinking, or equivalent experience
- Proficiency in foresight frameworks (Delphi, STEEP, causal layered analysis)
- Portfolio of 3+ successfully commercialized speculative innovations
- Experience scaling innovation teams from 5 to 50+ members
