Responsibilities
- Analyze exponential technology trends (quantum computing, neural interfaces, synthetic biology) through proprietary foresight methodologies
- Develop scenario-planning frameworks for 2026+ market disruptions
- Lead cross-functional workshops translating future possibilities into present-day R&D priorities
- Author high-impact trend reports and strategic briefs for executive stakeholders
- Partner with product teams to embed future-readiness into innovation pipelines
- Represent Horizon Dynamics at global futurist conferences and industry summits
- Mentor junior futurists in horizon scanning and pattern recognition techniques
Qualifications
- 8+ years in strategy consulting, innovation management, or futurist research
- Deep expertise in at least two emerging tech domains (e.g., AGI, climate modeling, quantum AI)
- Proven track record of translating future trends into commercial opportunities
- Advanced degree in Futures Studies, Systems Thinking, or related field
- Proficiency in foresight tools (horizon scanning, Delphi method, causal layered analysis)
- Exceptional storytelling and data visualization capabilities
- Experience advising C-suite on long-term technology disruption scenarios
- Published thought leadership in futurist or innovation publications
