Responsibilities
- Develop 5-year strategic foresight frameworks for emerging tech convergence
- Lead cross-functional innovation sprints with engineering, product, and design teams
- Produce annual 'Future State' reports for C-suite stakeholders
- Identify and vet exponential technology opportunities (quantum computing, neurotech, etc.)
- Build partnerships with academic institutions and research labs
- Design and facilitate scenario-planning workshops for leadership
- Drive patent strategy for breakthrough innovations
Qualifications
- 10+ years in strategic foresight, innovation consulting, or R&D leadership
- Proven track record of commercializing emerging technologies
- Expertise in systems thinking and complex adaptive systems
- Published research in peer-reviewed journals (Nature, MIT Tech Review, etc.)
- Deep understanding of exponential growth curves and S-curves
- Experience with scenario planning tools (e.g., Shell's Methodology)
- PhD or equivalent in Futures Studies, Systems Engineering, or related field
