Responsibilities
- Analyze emerging technologies (AI, quantum, biotech) and socio-economic trends to map 3-5 year strategic horizons
- Develop scenario-based frameworks for market disruption and competitive advantage
- Lead cross-functional workshops to translate foresight into product roadmaps and R&D priorities
- Establish innovation KPIs and track technology adoption curves across sectors
- Author forward-looking thought leadership for industry conferences and white papers
- Advise leadership on ethical implications of emerging technologies and regulatory shifts
- Build and manage a global network of futurists, academics, and industry disruptors
Qualifications
- Master's or PhD in Futures Studies, Systems Thinking, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 8+ years in innovation strategy, technology forecasting, or consulting at Fortune 500/tech scale-ups
- Proven track record of translating foresight into commercialized products or policies
- Expertise in scenario planning, horizon scanning, and trend analysis methodologies
- Deep understanding of exponential technologies (AI/ML, blockchain, synthetic biology)
- Exceptional communication skills for executive audiences and public speaking
- Certifications in Foresight (e.g., AC/FS) or innovation management preferred
- Portfolio demonstrating published research or implemented strategic initiatives
