Responsibilities
- Lead horizon scanning initiatives to identify disruptive technologies and trends impacting 2026+ landscapes
- Develop scenario-planning models simulating socioeconomic, environmental, and technological futures
- Architect innovation roadmaps integrating AI, quantum computing, and synthetic biology breakthroughs
- Partner with R&D teams to prototype solutions for 2026 challenges (climate resilience, neurotech, etc.)
- Deliver executive briefings translating complex futures into strategic priorities
- Establish 'Future Labs' to incubate moonshot projects with 5-7 year horizons
- Publish thought leadership on future-proofing methodologies
Qualifications
- 10+ years in strategic foresight, innovation consulting, or future-focused R&D leadership
- Proven expertise in scenario planning and trend analysis methodologies
- Deep knowledge of emerging tech: AGI, quantum, synthetic biology, climate tech
- Advanced degree in Futures Studies, Systems Thinking, or related field
- Portfolio demonstrating 3+ future-strategy implementations with measurable impact
- Exceptional storytelling skills for communicating complex futures
- Certification in futures research (e.g., CFIF) preferred
- Experience scaling innovation in regulated industries (healthcare/energy a plus)
