Responsibilities
- Lead horizon scanning initiatives to identify disruptive technologies and societal trends with 3-5 year impact
- Develop strategic frameworks for future-proofing organizational operations and product portfolios
- Produce executive-level scenario planning reports and trend impact assessments
- Facilitate cross-functional workshops to align stakeholders on future opportunities
- Partner with R&D teams to translate foresight into innovation roadmaps
- Represent the organization at global futurist conferences and industry summits
- Maintain a proprietary database of emerging signals and trend indicators
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Futures Studies, Strategic Foresight, or related field (PhD preferred)
- 7+ years in strategic planning, innovation consulting, or futurist research
- Proven experience with horizon scanning methodologies and trend analysis frameworks
- Exceptional storytelling skills with ability to communicate complex futures to diverse audiences
- Deep expertise in at least two emerging domains (AI ethics, climate adaptation, biotech, etc.)
- Proficiency in strategic foresight tools (e.g., Delphi method, cross-impact matrices)
- Published thought leadership in futurism or strategy publications
- Portfolio demonstrating 3+ successful future-shaping initiatives
