Responsibilities
- Lead horizon scanning initiatives to identify emerging technologies, societal shifts, and market disruptions relevant to 2026
- Develop scenario-planning frameworks and strategic roadmaps for organizational adaptation
- Conduct trend analysis across biotechnology, AI ethics, climate resilience, and quantum computing
- Facilitate executive workshops translating foresight into actionable business strategies
- Author thought leadership publications and predictive models for industry stakeholders
- Collaborate with R&D teams to prototype future-state solutions
- Advise board members on long-term risk mitigation and opportunity identification
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Futures Studies, Strategic Foresight, or related field (PhD preferred)
- 7+ years in strategic planning, innovation consulting, or futurist role
- Proven track record of developing and implementing future-oriented strategies
- Expertise in scenario planning, trend analysis, and horizon scanning methodologies
- Deep understanding of exponential technologies (AI, quantum, biotech) and societal impacts
- Exceptional communication skills with ability to translate complex concepts for diverse audiences
- Published thought leadership in futurism or strategic foresight
- Certification in Strategic Foresight (e.g., from University of Houston) preferred
