Responsibilities
- Conduct horizon scanning to identify emerging technologies, market shifts, and societal trends through 2026
- Develop scenario-based strategic frameworks for long-term organizational planning
- Lead cross-functional workshops to synthesize insights from AI, biotech, and quantum computing domains
- Produce actionable whitepapers and executive briefings on future-proofing business models
- Establish partnerships with academic institutions and innovation labs for trend forecasting
- Mentor junior strategists in future literacy methodologies and foresight tools
- Present strategic recommendations to the board and executive leadership quarterly
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Futures Studies, Strategic Foresight, or related field (PhD preferred)
- 5+ years in strategic planning, innovation consulting, or futurist research
- Proven expertise in trend analysis, scenario planning, and strategic roadmapping
- Deep understanding of exponential technologies (AI, blockchain, synthetic biology)
- Exceptional communication skills with executive presence and presentation abilities
- Certification in futures methodologies (e.g., CFS, SFI) or equivalent practical experience
- Portfolio demonstrating published foresight work or strategic frameworks
- Experience with futures simulation tools and foresight software platforms
