Responsibilities
- Research and analyze local legislation, ordinances, and regulatory frameworks
- Assist in drafting policy briefs and stakeholder correspondence
- Support community outreach initiatives and public hearing preparations
- Track federal, state, and regional policy developments affecting Sacramento
- Collaborate with cross-departmental teams on strategic initiatives
- Participate in intergovernmental liaison activities
- Contribute to data-driven policy recommendations
Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in accredited college/university program
- Minimum 3.0 GPA preferred
- Strong research and analytical skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
- Knowledge of Sacramento's political landscape preferred
- Ability to work 20-25 hours per week
- Authorization to work in the US required
