Nexus Analytics Albuquerque is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Data Analyst Intern to join our growing team. As an intern, you will support our analytics team in collecting, processing, and performing statistical analyses on large data sets. This is an excellent opportunity for students looking to specialize in business intelligence, data visualization, or market research.
Responsibilities
- Data Collection & Cleaning: Assist in gathering data from various sources and ensuring its accuracy, completeness, and consistency for analysis.
- Statistical Analysis: Perform quantitative analyses using statistical software to identify trends, patterns, and insights that drive business decisions.
- Data Visualization: Create compelling dashboards and reports using tools like Tableau or Power BI to communicate complex data findings to non-technical stakeholders.
- Market Research: Conduct secondary research to gather competitive intelligence and industry benchmarks.
- Support Projects: Collaborate with senior analysts on ongoing projects to support A/B testing, customer segmentation, and forecasting models.
- Documentation: Maintain detailed documentation of data sources, methodologies, and findings in our project management system.
Qualifications
- Education: Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Data Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, or a related field.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (Advanced functions, PivotTables) and a basic understanding of SQL or Python is highly preferred.
- Education: Currently enrolled in a degree program with an expected graduation date between May 2025 and December 2025.
- Analytical Mindset: Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically about data-driven questions.
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to explain complex data concepts clearly.
- Availability: Must be available to work 20-30 hours per week, with the ability to commit to a Summer or Fall start date.
