Responsibilities
- Develop and implement 10-year strategic foresight frameworks for quantum computing, bio-integration, and planetary-scale systems
- Lead cross-functional workshops with C-suite executives and academic partners to identify paradigm-shifting opportunities
- Produce scenario-based impact assessments for emerging technologies (neuromorphic chips, climate engineering, post-scarcity economics)
- Direct a global team of futurists, data scientists, and behavioral economists
- Secure $50M+ in R&D funding through government grants and venture partnerships
- Curate the annual 'Horizon 2026' summit featuring world-renowned futurists
- Author white papers published in MIT Technology Review and Future Studies Journal
Qualifications
- PhD in Futures Studies, Systems Theory, or equivalent interdisciplinary field with 10+ years applied experience
- Published research in top-tier journals (Nature Futures, Futures) with >500 citations
- Proven track record leading technology foresight initiatives valued at $100M+
- Mastery of horizon scanning, Delphi methodology, and agent-based modeling
- Deep expertise in at least two emerging domains: quantum AI, synthetic biology, or space colonization
- Experience securing federal SBIR/STTR grants and DARPA partnerships
- Portfolio of implemented future-back innovation strategies in Fortune 100 companies
- Fluency in futures forecasting tools (e.g., Trendalyzer, Cassandra) and Python/R for scenario modeling
