Responsibilities
- Architect Fault-Tolerant Systems: Design and implement robust quantum error correction protocols and scalable architectures for superconducting and trapped-ion qubits.
- Roadmap Leadership: Define and execute the technical strategy for our 2026 quantum milestones, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
- Algorithm Development: Develop and optimize quantum algorithms for optimization, machine learning, and cryptography applications.
- Team Mentorship: Lead, mentor, and recruit top-tier talent in a fast-paced, high-stakes research environment.
- Collaboration: Partner with cross-functional teams, including hardware engineers and data scientists, to integrate quantum solutions into broader systems.
- Publication & Outreach: Contribute to high-impact academic publications and present at leading industry conferences.
Qualifications
- Education: Ph.D. in Physics, Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related field, with a focus on Quantum Information Science.
- Experience: 5+ years of experience in quantum computing research or 3+ years in a senior engineering role within a high-tech environment.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in quantum programming frameworks such as Cirq, Qiskit, or PyQuil; strong Python programming skills.
- Knowledge: Deep understanding of quantum gates, circuits, and measurement theory.
- Soft Skills: Exceptional problem-solving abilities, strong communication skills, and a track record of leading technical teams.
- Tools: Experience with cloud quantum computing platforms (AWS Braket, Azure Quantum) is highly preferred.
